The countdown has begun! It is only a matter of hours until we get to hear Art Spiegelman's much anticipated talk, History of Comix 101. Spiegelman is speaking at Thomas Wolfe Auditorium at 7:00 p.m. Books will be available for sale at Thomas Wolfe Auditorium before and after the event...and 100 books have been signed by Spiegelman!! What an amazing and engaging evening with Art Spiegelman and a theater filled with community members of all ages. Comments thanking the Museum and the staff abounded, kudos to all.
A group of 18 students from Western Carolina University traveled though the mountains Thursday evening to attend the Spiegelman talk. History of Comix 101 was an appropriate title. In addition to being a gifted artist, Spiegelman is a knowledgeable and engaging speaker.
Later I got a chance to catch the last part of his interview on WCQS. Does anyone know if that was archived in any way??
